The
SMFM Practice Management Course will continue the tradition of
providing relevant and actionable information to assist in the everyday
management of our MFM practices. This year's meeting will take place at
The Marquette Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton in Minneapolis, MN,
October 5-6.
The presentations at this year’s course are
especially relevant, considering the many changes within our current
healthcare environment.
Scheduled presentations thus far include:
- A panel presentation on supporting MFM physicians and practice managers through respective career stages.
- Navigating contracts and negotiations.
- Monitoring financial reports & revenue cycle.
- How to effectively advocate for pregnant women as an MFM.
- A joint PM/coding session on advanced practice providers – clinical utilization and billing/coding for services.

Global Learning Collaborative designates this enduring material for a maximum of 10.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
This course has the prior approval of American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) for continuing education hours. This program meets AAPC guidelines for 10.5 CEUs. Can be split between Core A, CEMC, CPMA, CIC and COBGC for continuing education units.
Instruction for Participation and Claiming Credit
This activity is designed to be completed within
the time designated on the title page; physicians should claim only those
credits that reflect the time actually spent in the activity. To successfully
earn credit, participants must complete the live activity in-person during the
valid credit period that is noted above. To receive AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™,
you must complete the post meeting CME/CE evaluation.
Registration Information
Registration fees include meals during the meeting, access
to course materials online, and CME/CEU. Additionally, all
registrants will receive a complimentary 30-minute consultation with Mr. Frank
Ciafone, MBA, SMFM Practice Management Advisory Committee member and lead
consultant with our Practice Management Consulting Services.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be
in writing and received at events@smfm.org a minimum of one week
prior to the course (September 29, 2023). No refunds will be given after that
time. A $75 administrative fee will be charged for cancellations. Substitutions
or transfers will be accepted anytime. Partial refunds will not be
provided.
